If one knows what, where, when and, most importantly, how the hell it all happens, public transport really works in this city. To make it more challenging, let me put it shortly. There is:

1.No main bus station in Bucharest (instead there are zillions of makeshift ‘garages’)
2.No subway train running after midnight
3.No train in or out of Bucharest between midnight and 5 A.M., unless a train gets in late.
